North Queensland’s premier Tropical Food Experience and the Cassowary Coast’s major festival centred around the town of Innisfail. The festival showcases our region’s impressive variety of rare and exotic fruits whilst also including an impressive range of produce including meat, seafoods, herbs, spices and wine. Nowhere else will you find such a diverse and tantalising range of produce and culture, as in this region of Australia.
MISSION BEACH WELLNESS WEEKEND

Mission Wellness is a community project with a long term vision to establish Mission Beach as an all-year-round wellness destination. Inspired by the unique beauty and calming sense of wellness that this area evokes in its own right, we have created an event to highlight and showcase all that our beautiful community and land have on offer. All registered activities are indicated with a Yellow Bali Flag. There may be a small charge for some activities. Headquarters are at the Progress Hall on Porter Promenade to find out the latest!
AMAZONS AUSTRALIA
5-8 July 2026
The Amazons Australia will see all-female teams of two embark on a 3-day extreme adventure, combining trekking, navigation, mountain biking, paddling and mystery challenges to test their skills and resilience in the heart of Australia's rugged and brutal tropics. As this is a stage event, teams will race by day, then rest, relax and recover by night. ARWS and Tri Adventure are thrilled to present the second edition of The Amazons Australia. The 2025 event was the first ever ARWS all-female multi-day stage adventure race. Location - Mission Beach, Australia in July 2026.
AUSTRALIAN UFO FESTIVAL

The Cardwell UFO Festival highlights the extra-terrestrial activities around Cardwell. This annual event begins on Saturday afternoon filled with family fun activities, markets, show rides, and visitors from throughout the Universe.
Saturday is the C-Files forum this forum is the highlight of the festival for many visitors, a informative morning with guest speakers and visitors can listen to and share their personal experiences of all things unexplained. Then Saturday night is where the locals and visitors alike dance the night away at the Alien Invasion Costume Party.
The festival sees visitors from all over Planet Earth come to visit the little seaside village of Cardwell.
ONA mission multisport adventure

Get ready for a weekend packed with excitement and fun at the Ona Mission Multisport Adventure, set in the tropical paradise of Mission Beach and Dunk Island. Since 2008, this iconic event has challenged athletes in one of the most spectacular locations imaginable.
Paddle to Dunk Island on the vibrant waters of the Great Barrier Reef, run through World Heritage-listed Rainforest and mountain bike through its lush trails The adventure wraps up with the final run along stunning palm-tree-lined beach and lush Rainforest Walking Tracks to the finish line.
The big decisions are – will you take on the Short or Long course? Will you tackle the challenge solo or team up with friends in a relay? Either way, you’re in for an unforgettable experience!

Over the last decade the Cassowary Coast Multi Sport Club has established some new events and continues to run Ona Mission annually. We host a variety of regional events for active people, of all ages and abilities, including families and youth. We collaborate with other clubs and with charities through events.
