KURRIMINE BEACH
WHERE YOU CAN WALK TO THE REEF
Kurrimine Beach offers a seaside holiday the way it used to be. Only 10 kilometres from the Bruce Highway, yet untouched by major development, it has absolute beachfront accommodation in front of a glorious, long stretch of sand. So close to the reef that you can actually walk there at low tide. Choose from a resort, caravan parks with cabins and campsites, motels, and holiday rentals. The charming village boasts a winery, beachfront pub, cafe, post office, petrol station, general store, and a laid-back atmosphere.
At low tide, you'll see these old cane farm tractors in action launching or retrieving boats.

TOP THINGS TO DO
Kurrimine Beach invites beachcombing, rainforest hiking, relaxation, and fantastic fishing. As one of the closest beaches to the Great Barrier Reef, the warm, clear waters are a haven for snorkellers and divers, and teem with vibrant marine life and coral formations, only metres from shore. In fact, on very low tides, you can walk out to King Reef and experience a Great Barrier Reef trip, free of charge. Anglers are spoilt for choice with beach, estuary and reef fishing at your doorstep.
